What is an escape room?
An escape room is a team-based escape game, generally played in an enclosed setting with a particular theme — in our case, horror. The aim is to solve a series of puzzles and hands-on challenges to complete a mission and progress towards the exit.
What does our game involve?
GRU – Bar & Live Escape Game is an escape room focused on immersion and problem-solving. Participants move through our sets and solve puzzles to progress. The game includes actors, unexpected events or actions that may frighten sensitive participants. However, participants will never intentionally be harmed, subjected to psychological violence or treated in any way that undermines their dignity.
How much does a session at GRU – Bar & Live Escape Game cost?
The price depends on the experience, time slot and number of participants. For full details, please visit the page for each adventure.
Can I cancel or reschedule a session?
A confirmed booking cannot be cancelled or rescheduled unless you purchased the Cancellation Guarantee when booking. This option allows a rescheduled session or credit for the amount paid, less the guarantee fee, up to 24 hours before the session, under the conditions set out in the terms and conditions of sale.
How many players can take part?
Sessions can be booked for 2 to 6 players for GAËTAN and 2 to 8 players for CULT and L’Épopée Mystérieuse.
How old do you need to be to play at GRU – Bar & Live Escape Game?
CULT and GAËTAN are accessible from age 18, or from age 12 when accompanied throughout the session by a person aged 18 or over. L’Épopée Mystérieuse is accessible from age 10 when accompanied throughout the session by a person aged 18 or over. Please also check the warnings for each experience.
Can I play if I have a heart condition or epilepsy, or if I am pregnant?
Due to the numerous sound and lighting effects, including strobe lighting, and jump scares that actors may create, the rooms are not open to people with heart conditions or epilepsy, or to pregnant women.
Can I play if I have reduced mobility?
As the scenarios require a certain level of physical ability, they are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. However, the bar is adapted for people with disabilities.
Can I watch my friends’ game or follow it on the screens?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. You cannot wait on the premises while your friends play or watch their progress on the screens alongside the game masters.
What is GRU – Bar & Live Escape Game?
GRU – Bar & Live Escape Game is a lounge bar hiding three exciting escape room experiences: two terrifying horror adventures and one immersive fantasy quest.
Are the rooms scary?
GAËTAN and CULT are particularly intense horror experiences. They are accessible from age 18, or from age 12 when accompanied by a person aged 18 or over, and are not open to people with heart conditions or epilepsy, or to pregnant women. L’Épopée Mystérieuse is a fantasy adventure without horror, featuring a dark atmosphere and paranormal elements: please consider each participant’s sensitivity.
How long does a session last?
Our scenarios have different durations: 60 minutes for GAËTAN and 90 minutes for CULT and L’Épopée Mystérieuse.
If I am late, can I still join my session?
You must arrive at the exact time of your booking. Delays of more than 10 minutes will not be accepted.
Are the scenarios available in English?
CULT and GAËTAN are available in French and English. L’Épopée Mystérieuse is currently available in French only. Sessions in Spanish are not yet available.
Can I change the number of players?
Yes. If more people are joining than originally planned, this is possible as long as the room’s maximum capacity is not exceeded. Please notify us by telephone and pay for the additional place or places.
What should I wear for a session?
We recommend comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. High heels, skirts and dresses are strongly discouraged.
Can I play if I am claustrophobic?
During our experiences, you will pass through enclosed spaces and be plunged into darkness several times. Please assess whether this is suitable for you based on your degree of claustrophobia.

We are located at 58 rue du Mirail in Bordeaux, near Place de la Victoire and the Grosse Cloche.
